I received my PC from a friend about two weeks ago and was attempting to turn on Windows 10, but it keeps asking to connect to the organization. It’s a personal computer that hasn’t been used in a school or office setting.

This typically occurs after encountering a virus. Various malware can install on your PC, locking it into a managed environment controlled by an organization. Clearing the system and performing a fresh Windows 10 installation usually resolves the issue. It might also be related to different user keys—organizations often have specific keys, so using the wrong one could be a factor.

Did you turn on your Windows using a KMS server? If yes, you’ll need to purchase Windows 10 to resolve the issue. Alternatively, there’s a method to activate it without spending money—try downloading a pirated version of Windows 7 and performing a free upgrade. And that’s it! You’ll receive a completely free Windows 10 copy ready to use. Please note I strongly oppose piracy and do not encourage anyone to engage in it.
