Windows is clueless
Windows is clueless
Hey there, I faced the same issue before. Windows keeps putting my boot partition on another drive, even though I only had one game installed on it. After selling that drive, I realized it was still there but formatted. My main drive still has Windows loaded, but it won’t boot from it. The other drive is inaccessible now. I have some crucial data and don’t want to lose it. I tried formatting the SSD and reinstalling Windows, but the system says my drive is locked. Any advice on how to get back to normal operation?
To prevent this problem later: disconnect every hard drive except the one you're setting up Windows on during installation.
I understand you're dealing with a lot of computers and changing hardware slots, but it's confusing why this happens. Could you share more details about the problem? What symptoms are you seeing, and what steps have you tried so far? That way I can help you find a solution.
Restarting Windows quickly and simply is the most efficient way
I located the relevant document you mentioned. The image I shared comes from there. It resolved the issue completely for others facing similar problems.
