Windows installation fails on RAID0 setup - AMD-RAIDXpert2
Hey there, I just acquired two Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB SSDs and want to install them in RAID0 on my AORUS X570 Elite. I managed to locate the AMD-RAIDXpert2 manual and followed the steps. The main issue arose after installing the Windows RAID drivers: within under five seconds I encountered an error code 0xc0000005. Here’s what happened:
My steps:
- Followed the AMD RAIDXpert2 user guide
- Placed both drives in the two available M.2 slots on my motherboard
- Restarted into UEFI/BIOS, turned on NVMe RAID and saved settings
- Returned to BIOS, opened RAIDXpert2, created a new array
- Tried initializing both drives, then went to RAIDXpert2 configuration
- Attempted installation in Windows installer
During the process I encountered the same error right after installing the drivers. I tried several versions of the RAID drivers from both AMD and AORUS, but nothing resolved the problem. I also checked my system specs: a Ryzen 9 3900X, Windows 10 Pro, and the drivers I downloaded.
I’m reaching out for advice, suggestions, or any references that might help. Thanks!
