This situation has never occurred before, whether I used a GTX 1070 or now with an RX 7800 XT. All automatic updates were disabled. My monitors went dark and the videos stopped playing. I thought it was a driver update because it looked exactly like what I see when I run them manually. What the hell is going on? Windows seems to be causing this problem, definitely something I didn’t want and something I definitely don’t want to experience again. It also installed an unusual version—23.20.30? I was sure I was on 23.11, but the latest on AMD’s site is 23.12.1. What version is this?
Remnants of the Nvidia software must remain for Windows to function properly.
