I've been exploring Windows Hello lately. It seems to connect with the TPM module for a more secure two-factor login, offering better protection than just a regular password. Since most of my custom-built PCs lack a TPM, I wonder if it still works without it. My desktop performs similarly to my laptop that does have one.

Have you confirmed there’s no TPM installed or active? Open “tpm.msc” to verify. If you’re using an Intel chip, it likely includes Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT). For AMD systems, it’s known as AMD firmware Trusted Platform Module (fTPM), functioning as a TPM embedded within the processor for system use.

Yes I have verified that I don't have it. One of my computers that has a 4820K doesn't support the Trusted Execution Technology, but I have access to another computer with a 8700K that does support it according to Intel Ark.

It seems the processor handles it, though the motherboard can't.
