Windows gone rogue
Windows gone rogue
Suddenly my Windows 10 setup went wild. I tried updates and a reboot, but the update failed and it went back. Still had issues: couldn’t log in after about ten attempts. My keyboard types strange symbols like Greek letters, and the mouse behaves oddly—clicking just zooms in or out. The scroll wheel feels like Chrome’s zoom feature. Pressing ESC or Tab seems to trigger ALT or Windows keys. The keyboard key doesn’t work at all. It looks like Windows has gone completely unstable. Do you know why this is happening or how to fix it? I ran a scan with MBAM, but found nothing. Using a different mouse or pressing ESC helped temporarily, but it’s not permanent. What’s going on? Could I be affected?
Absolutely, that's a valid observation. It seems like things are shifting unexpectedly.
They need to be turned on. It handled the issue by itself during the failed update, but everything is now back to normal. It seems the changes might have been in an unstable state before. If anything, it disappeared as soon as the start menu transitioned back to a standard mode.
Sure, just make sure to unplug the keyboard and use a different one.
