It's clear we shouldn't face this situation. The obvious drop from Win7 is unacceptable.

It’s considered a downgrade because the features and results you get match what works on W10. The powertoys search tool appears to replicate those capabilities from the link you shared.

I rely on the search function and used the hotkey to launch it. Switching to alt and space bar worked well. It's a really effective search tool.
