Windows fails to start on a newly installed NVMe SSD after installation.
I recently purchased several new PC components to upgrade my system. However, assembling them didn’t go smoothly—I managed to launch the Windows installer, but after completion it would revert me back to the BIOS. The steps I’ve tried before include: installing via a USB created with a media tool, using Rufus with a GPT partition and UEFI target, and attempting both with and without CSM. In the CSM settings, I set boot devices exclusively in UEFI mode. Interestingly, on my 980 Pro 1TB, the BIOS doesn’t recognize it as a boot device, yet Windows appears to be installed through Diskpart in a CMD window. I’m using the latest non-Beta BIOS for my motherboard (version 1413, released April 27). I have a screenshot of the Rufus configuration used. Disconnect all storage units. Keep only the NVMe with Windows installed.
