Windows fails to start after SSD swap occurs.
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with Windows after cloning your SanDisk plus 240GB drive using Acronis Disk Clone. The PC would shut down completely when it starts, and during automatic repair it stays on but restarts unexpectedly if you try to boot normally or enter other startup modes like Safe Mode.
I'm curious... Would you have another PC available for cloning? Connect both disks and see what happens—perhaps some unexpected issues with booting into Windows on the primary drive and attempting a clone. Alternatively, Macrium Reflect could work well. I've done several cloning projects before; swapping drives to a different machine usually resolves problems, though it only worked once in my experience.
I didn't duplicate the disk during Windows startup; instead, I used a Windows PE disk with Acronis.
Consider whether the problem lies with the new drive not being sufficient to accept the cloned data or if the clone itself is damaged or malfunctioning. Start by reinstalling Windows on the new drive (you'll need to redo the clone, but verify the drive's condition) and attempt to boot into it briefly to test functionality. Perform diagnostics to identify any underlying issues.
