I attempted to resolve the activation issue but received an error indicating it couldn't locate a Windows 10 Professional key, even though I previously used that key for upgrades via the Windows Store.

They modified the motherboard to link the product key. Microsoft has been doing this for a while. Swapping it out disables Windows, saying it's a "new computer." Their method to stop piracy.

You might use Windows support. However, a low-cost OEM key could be ineffective.
