The choices available were ahci and raid. I didn't notice ide or anything.

After several attempts to install the files, we finally managed to get everything running smoothly. It seems the installation media might have been inconsistent. Thanks a lot for your support. This happened after setting up another 250GB HDD. I’m not sure what caused it, but it’s good that it works now. Really disappointing how anticlimactic this turned out.
