Hello, the new 850 EVO was added as a second drive using a free 2.5-inch slot. After plugging it in and restarting Windows, I checked for updates but the file explorer still shows it as Disk 0 with correct info. The instructions mentioned it’s needed for data migration, but I’m just adding it for backup. I installed other drives before without issues, so this one seems different. I forgot to format it earlier, and I don’t want any bloatware. Thanks!

Avoid installing any files from the CD. Instead, open Windows Disk Management in the administrative tools and create a new basic volume.

Control panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management > Right-click a new drive > Format.
