Hello, I’m performing a clean installation of Windows 11, which means I made a bootable Windows 11 drive and began the setup. After removing all my drive partitions and choosing the desired installation drive, I encountered an error saying:
“Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of the installation. To install Windows, restart the installation.”
Could anyone help identify what might be causing this problem? Your support would be really appreciated!

Hi, thank you for your assistance.
The PC specifications are:
Intel i9-12900k CPU
MSI Suprim 4090 GPU,
32GB RAM
ASUS ROG motherboard
I set up an installation tool using my Mac via terminal, connected it to the PC, and began the Windows setup. I chose a clean installation because I didn’t want to retain any files, as I’m very concerned about possible malware and wanted to avoid risks.

Thanks for your help, and I’ll review that article.

Hello,
The same problem occurred, leading me to suspect the Bios or secure boot feature. It turned out the second SSD was the culprit. During installation, Windows reassigns drive letters and loses track of where to install. Solution: remove the second or any other internal/external drive and retry, which should work without issues. You’d think such a problem could be easily fixed by 2025, but clearly not. Hope this assists someone.
