System Details: Central processing unit Ryzen 9950X, graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, high-speed RAM G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) at 6400MT/s, CL32-39-39-102 motherboard, MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi power supply, Seasonic Prime TX-1600 storage, Samsung 990 PRO SSD 4TB, Seagate 4TB HDD. Description: Over the last months I’ve faced significant lag when launching Windows—mouse movements, system effects, and animations stuttered below 10 FPS. Initially it occurred only after waking from sleep, but later it became more frequent and even triggered white bars on startup. Eventually the system would restart repeatedly during boot and run diagnostics. The situation has worsened, often forcing multiple restarts before normal operation returns. Recently, random white bars appeared on screen during startup, leading to repeated reboots. I’m uncertain about the root cause but have tried various fixes including DDU reset, BIOS updates, driver patches, system reinitialization, and even a full OS reinstall via USB. If possible, any guidance or deeper investigation into logs would be greatly appreciated.

Typical use includes checking disk and RAM activity via Task Manager. You might consider adding another hard drive, installing Windows, and observing the results. This could indicate a hardware problem.

Functions are limited. RAM usage is slightly elevated during idle because of background apps, yet I rarely reach full capacity. Yesterday I decided to go with a fresh USB setup after several Windows restarts before entering another troubleshooting mode. If the new install fails, I’ll assume the issue lies in hardware.

It seems you're referring to system performance issues and background processes. The need for detailed insight includes understanding all running applications, their usage levels, and any error messages. This is likely occurring on Windows 11, though it may not be resolvable there. Consider alternatives like older versions or Linux if the situation persists.

Hello, the full USB reset resolved the problem. Thank you for clarifying the background applications. My setup includes Wallpaper Engine, PIA, 1Password, Razer Synapse 4, Wave Link, Stream Deck, Afterburner, OneDrive, iCloud, Discord, Steam, and various PowerToys such as Awake and Command Palette. Usually my idle memory consumption is around 10-30%. You're right about Windows 11 being the likely cause.

The problem has occurred again. I managed to inspect Task Manager during the slowdown. System memory remains near 30%, yet my GPU reached full usage several times while simply moving around the screen. Might this indicate a defective GPU?
