Windows Error Alert after installing a new graphics card
I received two kits and four sticks. The RAM isn't a concern here; I think the issue lies with the CPU or GPU, probably the PCIe controller inside the CPU. I've been testing memory and CPU for more than four hours without any problems. It only fails when the GPU is under load. I'm planning to get a PCIe 4.0 riser soon so I can test the GPU through the PCIe slot. If that works, it's likely the CPU; if not, it's the GPU. Since both are covered under warranty, I'll return the defective part.
GPU functions perfectly in the second PCIEx16 port. Performance aligns with expectations, confirming no bottleneck there. Attempting to start the system using the GPU in the first PCIEx16 slot triggers a "Memory Error" sound (long and short durations). Display output is absent—booth screens show no signal and standby mode. It appears the CPU may be faulty. The GPU installation seems improperly positioned. Updated RMA request with AMD: problem persists even in the second PCIEx16 slot. Uncertain if this slot connects via chipset or not. Case started with AMD. They plan to send back the CPU and likely replace it with a new R7 5800X. Because the return process might take a few weeks, I picked a Ryzen 3 4100 for around $80. It performs well with all GPUs, though it has some strange errors.
The CPU manages the PCIe lanes, which likely accounts for the successful replacement.
