Windows Driver Foundation is a framework for developing drivers.
People, I'm really stuck. Neither I nor Google could help me out. Windows Driver Foundation is a service that runs continuously and gradually uses up resources after a restart. Anyone know what to do? There don't seem to be any updates available, and the only info online points to high CPU usage as a solution.
You may attempt updates, run system maintenance tools, and locate the troubleshooter in the control center under troubleshooting. Review all options and select it. A clean boot can help identify if a third-party service is causing excessive CPU usage. Press the Windows key plus R to open Run, type “msconfig” and press Enter. Navigate to the Services tab, check the box for “hide all Microsoft services,” click Disable All, then open Task Manager and use Control+Shift+Esc. Disable startup applications one by one to see if the problem persists. Restart your device or update your WiFi drivers, as these changes can resolve unrelated issues. If necessary, disable the Windows Driver Foundation service by opening Run again with Windows key + R, typing “services.msc,” locating the service, setting its startup type to disabled, clicking Apply, and restarting the PC.
