I worked on this setup for nearly a year and consistently faced problems with overclocking. My components are standard: a Ryzen 5 2600X CPU, G.Skill Ripjaw V 3200Mhz RAM, an RX 580 8GB GPU, and a GigaByte B450 DS3H motherboard. When I leave my RAM in auto mode in BIOS, everything functions properly at around 2100Mhz. Enabling XMP triggers a recovery mode in Windows, but if I manually push the RAM to 3200Mhz, the system boots but crashes when RAM load drops. I've followed the recommended voltage of 1.35 for my RAM, yet issues persist. My power supply is solid at 600W, but I'm unsure what's causing the instability. Anyone have insights?
The decision to boost your RAM speed isn't necessary when your processor is already standard. Stick with auto for simplicity and reliability.

AMD suggests using at least 3000mhz DDR4 RAM with dual channels for RYZEN processors, meaning it's a good idea to boost your existing RAM if needed.
They suggest using Dual Channel. It seems you're not setting up a Ryzen build, and you'd like to expand memory beyond 16GB without a full replacement.
