Windows doesn't retain recognized networks.
Hi everyone, I just upgraded my PC and reinstalled Windows. Now, connections to the internet don’t save saved networks, so I have to type in the password each time it restarts. I’ve tried the network reset option in settings and reinstalled the driver, but nothing works. The network appears in settings as unknown, and when checking network properties, it’s still empty (see Image). In the control panel, there’s no button for wireless settings either. What should I do to fix this? Thanks in advance.
I didn't modify any directories. This might not be connected, but there was a problem with a folder in C:\ProgramData lacking proper access rights, preventing any application from writing to it.
Attempt using sfc/scannow via admin prompt, restart, and retry.
