Windows doesn't find the old hard drive.
My main hard drive was a Seagate Barracuda model with Windows 10. I recently swapped it out for a new SSD and installed Windows 11. The issue is that the old drive isn’t showing up in Windows at all—even in Device Manager. I can still run both OSes separately by selecting them in BIOS, but the new system doesn’t recognize the old drive. The new version still works fine, though I’m not sure how to make it see the previous one.
What are your system preferences? Secure boot and UEFI are activated? Your HDD is set up with a GPT format? You might need to change boot configurations each time you convert your HDD to GPT so Windows 11 recognizes it.
HDD uses GPT format, UEFI is active, and I think secure boot is also enabled. (Not visible in BIOS)
Check if your SSD is recognized when using W10 and share a screenshot of your HDD configuration in Windows 10.
Boot configurations in the BIOS and drive formatting options for your hard drive. Likely a minor aspect we overlooked.
