That's unusual, kernel 41 tends to be quirky. Back in the day it was mostly software issues until bad RAM showed up. It might also happen if you're using an ASUS board with Armoury Crate enabled in BIOS. Remove that ASUS chipset as soon as possible. For the official fix, use the download from ASUS: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury crate/helpdesk_download/ It could occasionally relate to power supply problems too.

I'm reducing the voltage offset in PBO first. If it's excessive for a single core, this kind of random problem should occur.

I put it in when I reinstalled Windows to check if Asus software would work again. I was quickly shown the wrong way. It was a really poor program. Even while setting it up, you feel the system becoming less stable. I removed it completely and also deleted the BIOS settings. Thanks for the advice!

PBO has operated smoothly until now. I set it up at the start of last year and performed thorough testing. I believe any issues related to the unlocking process wouldn’t have surfaced during stress tests. I’ll remember this in case problems arise again. Thanks.

My 5950X had problems with random freezes when idle, working fine under load until it began crashing during startup. The issue seems linked to voltage offset affecting the voltage curve, which can trigger specific patterns depending on voltage and clock speed—possibly targeting a particular core. Intel also faces similar challenges where their standard voltage curves and timing settings cause crashes in certain applications, though not others. Modern CPUs are incredibly complex.

It's good to hear. The system has been operating smoothly for two days without any blue screen issues (with PBO). I’m hoping it was just a typical Windows error. If this happens again, I’ll definitely remove PBO and keep monitoring. Thanks for your advice and suggestions, LG Tyrannis.

Typically it's better to avoid tweaking PBO on X3D CPUs. I only tried it with the 5950X since it could boost performance by 100-200Mhz across all cores, which matters more when many cores are active. I haven't rewritten it on the new CPU because I wanted to confirm stability with default settings.
