Hello! I checked the latest reviews and comparisons. Windows Defender remains reliable, but other free antivirus options often offer stronger protection or better performance. Let me know if you'd like more details!

It's not too bad. It doesn't feel bothersome, though it's fairly precise. I'd suggest installing an antimalware solution, as my tests showed Bitdefender (paid version) wasn't fully effective.

Use common sense when browsing the web. Simply install Malwarebytes and perform a weekly or monthly full scan to stay protected.

Today I worked on a slow laptop with Avast running and a lot of malware. Even AdwCleaner detected 223 threads! I uncovered a few more. This was my first encounter with something like that. Of course, it was intriguing, but... antivirus software really sharing space with viruses. Would Defender be a better choice? Not really—I assume it’s installed on every Windows 10 system, giving virus makers equal access to test their creations. Probably you’ve found some old malware or a virus, but I saw too many infected machines with antivirus enabled that I don’t think it truly represents solid protection. Common sense, real-world experience, and a strong firewall that logs every connection and new program attempting to run are better. At least the firewall handles file analysis and alerts, rather than leaving it to the user. (Of course, Comodo Firewall offers cloud-based analysis, making it even more robust.)
