Windows Defender is not functioning properly.
Hello, I've noticed your PC is crashing when trying to install apps and losing files. After removing Norton Antivirus, your Windows antivirus disappeared too. You might want to try reinstalling it or checking your system settings for removal. Let me know if you need further help!
It's probable you encountered some malicious software that damaged Defender in an attempt to safeguard itself.
Sorry...Aliens reference. Basically, flat reinstall the OS. Or try a repair. If it's not malware, you could just tell Windows to try and repair itself. Since it says the AV is managed by your organization, is this a corporate laptop? That kind of message says that some form of security policy is in place to manage those settings...either placed by whomever manages your organization and Windows AD, or something set by a software bad actor to prevent you from touching it.
I updated certain details to false and now have this, but I can't run a scan. My virus and protection settings are all disabled, and I can't enable them.
