I just removed Avira Antivirus, restarted my computer, and Windows Security told me both Windows Defender and Avira were turned off. After checking the Windows Security page, I realized the threat & security section was missing. People suggested adjusting group policies via administrative templates, but I couldn’t locate them. Since this is my personal device with no organizational ties, I’m wondering if anyone has a workaround or solution.

I’d start by checking the Windows Update and Troubleshooting sections to see if they can help restart the system. If those don’t resolve the issue, I recommend booting from the recovery partition and attempting a repair installation there. This process should not alter your files or software, though it’s wise to back up first. If the repair fails, you might need to restore the default settings, which will reset your software but likely won’t impact personal data—unless they’re moved elsewhere for restoration.

You might also attempt DISM and SFC utilities, which typically resolve most issues. Have you tried restarting the PC? (It can be effective but is often ignored) 😊
