Hi everyone, after the Windows update and when the notebook started, the blue screen appeared with the message *img1*. It seems your PC needs repairs. The error code 0xc0000225 appears, and a recovery USB drive is required if you don’t have one—contact your seller. Most personal data was backed up on an external drive, so you likely don’t need it anymore. However, many hours were spent adjusting Windows settings to match your preferences, such as night light, color schemes, and wallpapers. I’ll try to restore those settings once I have more details about what exactly needs fixing. After launching Ubuntu from the USB, the storage check shows *img2+3+4*. Is it possible these settings are still active on one of the non-corrupt partitions or from the corrupted ones? I’m not sure if system restore points were created, as Win10 doesn’t have them enabled by default. If you’re certain they weren’t made, where would I look for them?

I'm also cloning the damaged drive using Clonezilla to keep the external drive available for work. At one point, Clonezilla prompted whether you'd like to inspect and repair the source file system—could that assist? Anyone know what it does?

Opt for a simple clone after fixing it. Do you have Windows installation media? Pick Windows 10 media: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10 Use the media creation tool on another Windows PC. You'll need a USB stick with at least 8GB. Start from the USB drive. Put your Windows 10 installation media on it and boot up. Set your language settings, then click "Next". Choose "startup repair" at the bottom left.

I used the option "Startup repair" from the installation USB but didn’t get any useful guidance. Someone else has another suggestion?

After trying "Startup repair" and no other choices, I reinstalled Windows. Thanks to everyone reviewing this thread and a big thank you to @DoctorNick for the advice.
