Hey there. I’m facing a really annoying problem. I assembled a studio PC designed for 4K content creation. The initial phase went smoothly for about three days, but then things started to go wrong. Let’s walk through what happened. First, the specs: CPU – Intel 11900K, RAM – Corsair Vengange RGB Pro SL with 4x16GB at 3600MHz, GPU – AMD RX6900 XT Gaming Z Trio, cooling from NZXT AIO Kraken X73, PSU – Corsair 1000W Platinum SSDs (two), a Samsung Pro 980 NVME M.2 1TB HDD, and a 12TB HDD that wasn’t installed yet. The build was about a year old, and it mostly stayed in a corner. After the setup, everything started working as expected. I got OBS, Adobe, and all my content tools loaded, and I set everything up. We all know how exhausting it is to configure OBS with multiple cameras and sources. The first 72 hours were chaotic. The biggest issue came after three days or nine months – a BSOD would appear, centered on memory. When it happened, random errors followed, and Windows couldn’t fix the drive. chkdsk didn’t help, and the drive couldn’t be saved. I had to format the whole thing and rebuild it. That meant losing everything and starting over. I’m certain this is linked to the 4DIMM memory. I don’t use XMP profiles or overclocking, just left everything at default. All four RAM sticks worked fine, but with two sticks, it failed completely. Right now I’m using 2x16GB, which works without issues, but switching to 4 sticks causes complete failure. My only idea is to buy two 32GB sticks and keep the total at two DIMMs.
