Hello, I recently purchased a new PC and handed it over to my younger brother. I assumed it would be simple. Initially, everything appeared to function properly, but he mentioned issues when playing demanding games—his screen would go black and he would be redirected back to the BIOS. I considered updating the BIOS myself since I hadn’t done that before (the PC had been in use for 3-4 years). I tried using a USB stick with the appropriate CAP files, but it didn’t work. Then I used Asus EZ Flash 3, first downloading from the internet, but it failed to download the latest version, which triggered the blue screen for the first time. After that, I attempted to install the newest BIOS version again using the same method with a USB drive, but the problem persisted. To recap, before encountering the blue screen: - I reinstalled Windows and switched the power outlet (changed room). Everything worked except occasional BIOS prompts. - I installed the latest BIOS via internet using Asus EZ Flash 3, only to notice the blue screen again. - I tried installing it from the official site with a USB stick, but encountered an error during boot labeled “sata mode selection must be changed to raid mode to avoid unknown issues.” I’m unsure if this relates to the blue screen. My current setup includes: RTX 2070, Intel i7 9700-KF, Samsung SSD 860 EVO, Corsair CX 750, and TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI). Please let me know if anyone can assist with this issue.
Verify SSD condition using CrystaldiskInfo, ensure system stability. Proceed by disconnecting one RAM stick, run the machine with reduced RAM. Please describe the blue screen occurrence or share a photo. Also, try connecting to a different SATA port and cable if needed.
