I'm not sure which files are damaged, but updating Windows won't necessarily fix the issue. Resetting Windows might help temporarily.

Your files seem fine. The update issues could stem from various causes. Please specify the problem during the update.

Windows often displays this error when a download becomes corrupt. Open Command Prompt with admin rights (via cmd) and try stopping the wuauserv service if needed. Then use File Explorer to go to "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and clear all files there. After that, run net start wuauserv check for updates / retry updates.

I haven't used any tool for managing updates previously. Upgrading typically resolves many of these issues.

I'm having trouble removing everything in the software setup, though other features still function. My issue remains unresolved.

You should remove everything in the download folder. I’m uncertain about its purpose or importance. After clearing the Downloads folder, check if the issue persists. If it still fails, consider disabling your antivirus temporarily. Otherwise, I don’t have guidance without further troubleshooting steps.
