I encountered an unusual problem after trying to format my PC. It takes about 5 minutes for it to shut down properly, which is longer than usual. Normally it should take around 10 seconds, but after that my screen goes black while the system remains active. I haven’t managed to turn off fast startup, and even a reboot doesn’t always work—sometimes it keeps restarting until the screen loses signal, after which nothing appears. I’ve also checked the GPU; fans are running and custom fan settings are active, so I’m sure it’s not related to that part. I’m unsure how to resolve this issue.

To notice these issues, check the shutdown logs or error messages in the system. Look for patterns or repeated failures during the shutdown process.

Uncertain about logging it, it depends on when the problem starts. I'll check first.

I realize where to search in the event viewer is unclear. It seems the matter isn't urgent, but my system shows an HDD indicator and it doesn't blink when the display shuts down.

Navigate to the Event Viewer, select Windows Logs, then choose System. Apply filters for Errors and Critical. Check Application logs as well if nothing appears normal.

They mentioned having five issues, which seem to repeat. After checking the first error (the driver one), I found the Crusial and Microsoft troubleshooting thread. I removed the Crusial driver, and it now shuts down properly within ten seconds. Thanks!
