I don't know how to diagnose this issue, so I'm asking for help here. Here's my problem: Windows looses focus of the current window (if it's a full screen program, it show the desktop). About 2 seconds later it brings the focus back on my program. This switching happens twice (with a 5 second interval), every day at around the same time (i.e. 7-8pm). Additional info: I haven't found a way of manually triggering the issue. It has happened regardless of the program that has the focus (firefox, photoshop, games, ms word, etc.). When the switch happens, no other program seems to get the focus (as indicated in the taskbar), and I don't have time to open task manager to see what is causing it. I've been playing Monster Hunter World lately and when the issue happens here, the game indicates a loss of connection to the internet, but the connection doesn't actually drop. How do it diagnose an issue like this? I'd need more info to know which program is causing this but I don't know how to get that information.

You're facing a somewhat unclear scenario. Ideally, you'd try to run DDU in safe mode and perform a clean restart before returning to normal settings. If that didn't work, install the newest video drivers and let us know how it proceeds.

Thank you for your assistance @Turtle Rig. I've completed DDU and updated the graphics drivers. I'll keep an eye on it until this evening to check if the problem is resolved.

The problem persists despite reinstalling the graphics drivers.
