Experimented with a serious game setup. Occasionally lost focus, sometimes GPU drivers caused problems. Updated drivers but performance dropped further. Used ChatGPT and Windows became unstable. Hopefully I could install Windows 10, but this new laptop is designed for Windows 11 and has flashing screen issues. Anyone have advice? I just want to play a classic game but keep facing Windows crashes and driver errors. I feel more like a Mac user now—though I thought Windows laptops were solid. My machine has an HPominbook Ultra Flip14 with a 258v CPU, which seems expensive for Intel. https://streamable.com/ouz04b This can last over 20 seconds before it freezes.

This occurs following your attempt to play the game.

I played the game and it would occasionally quickly zoom in and out, causing pop-ups or other windows to appear. Updating drivers made things worse. I’m unsure if this is related to the app suggestion or the drivers themselves, but it happens even when the game or app isn’t open. Nothing is accessible at all. I’d prefer going back to Windows 10, but my screen brightness keeps behaving strangely and drivers only work on Windows 11, which I don’t like. I’m stuck between using the outdated version of Windows 11 or facing more issues because they push this OS as a way to install spyware. I don’t even know what might be causing it. The drivers? Intel is usually reliable, but I can’t find anything similar for AMD. Plus, Windows 11 doesn’t support older games at all, making it hard to play new AAA titles with IGUI. I just want to enjoy some classic retro games and honestly my powerful Chromebook is what I’m going with.

It would feel like executing standard tasks like sfc /scannow through a command prompt.

I put Windows 10 in and everything functions properly. Great choice from Microsoft. I hope Windows 12 doesn’t cause any issues.
