Windows becomes unresponsive close to the welcome screen.
It seems I'm back here every couple of weeks with a new problem from this PC. This week, Windows freezes at startup. Won't go past the "Welcome" screen. The progress circle freezes and doesn't move after that. Advanced bootup or whatever soon follows after a hard reboot. Startup repair doesn't work. System restore N/A, no saved point. System image recovery N/A, no img file to use. Won't let me go back to the "previous build", gives some stupid error (even though there is obviously a Windows.old. Safe mode is the only thing that lets me boot up to the desktop and applications. Below is an image (don't mind the temporary dirty TV as my display, or the OLD and stupid profile picture) of the farthest it's gone. The first few transition frames between the Welcome screen and the desktop (you can just barely see the icons, that's not burn in or anything). UPDATE: it now blue screens (without even the welcome screen, just the normal windows logo boot screen) with "inaccessible_boot_drive", obviously not true because it shows up in Ubuntu just fine. Absolutely lost and am at a dead end right now. I guess I'll copy all my program data to my storage drive and do a reset, that's my only option right now. God DAMN Windows and it's auto updates, I'm pretty sure that's what caused it.
