I intended to play this game but mentioned needing to adjust my language settings to Japan. I accessed the control panel, changed the locale to Japan, and was asked to restart. After more than 30 minutes, I remained stuck on the first screen warning about Windows setup. No progress, just endless spinning and no feedback. What a frustrating experience!

You face numerous issues with Windows and a lot with macOS. It seems like we're both dealing with similar challenges.

Perhaps those macOS problems could bring the entire system to a halt. This kind of issue appears roughly every few months.

Back then, with 10.3 on those G3 iMacs, drive activity signs weren't as noticeable as they are now. Boot issues were rare, but you might have seen some unusual behavior.

The drives were mostly quiet except for my HDD, which would flash the LED light or make a sound. Since it's my main storage device, it should have remained silent. It actually just restarted after roughly 40 minutes on that screen...

I’d prefer the Locale Emulator since it’s open source. It avoids the problems of changing locales frequently. I’m not sure about compatibility with any games, but the ones needing a Japanese locale have worked perfectly. Spoiler: it’s smooth!
