I've been dealing with unstable framerates and uncomfortable VR sessions for about two weeks. This issue started around 2 weeks ago, mainly affecting Service Host: Windows Audio Endpoint Builder. While playing Yakuza 0, I noticed the game consumed more power than it should, leading to erratic and sometimes unplayable frame rates, plus audio that was very choppy and distorted at times. In VR, I experience similar problems before SteamVR crashes completely. I discovered a workaround online—using the audio troubleshooter to disable effects—which helped for a day. However, after restarting, the issues returned even though the setting stayed unchanged. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The last discussion about this topic was three years ago (actually four now), and I hope everyone has a happy new year!
