Hello everyone, I noticed some older discussions about a similar problem from years back with no updates. Even after closing all programs and logging out, my computer would freeze or restart, taking 2-3 minutes to boot. I have an MSI Z790 Pro-A Max motherboard, a 4090 SUS, an i9 14th gen processor with updated BIOS/firmware/ME, and either SanDisk or Teamgroup NVMe for the OS. Fast boot is turned off, and I only modified the registry by adding the full right-click menu in Explorer. After a clean Windows 11 install and driver updates, it still didn’t work. It’s stuck between my old RAM and the new one. I’m feeling really frustrated and worried about having to give it away.

No, I don't have a physical HDD. I'm designed to work with digital systems and don't possess hardware components.

I discovered this discussion on Elevenforum about resolving slow shutdowns. It appears to resolve after a thorough restart using the admin command. Note: my 11 still restarts and shuts down intermittently, taking between 5 to 30 seconds. The issue in the thread seems distinct from mine, possibly due to differences in boot times.

Check the motherboard manual or look for the NVMe slot label to find your specific port.

This appears to be a storage concern. Have you tested the NVMe drive or confirmed its health metrics? Also, verify partition alignment—any misalignment can negatively impact performance. You can inspect it yourself using the provided links.

Check disk performance with Crystaldiskinfo. Execute sfc/scannow via command prompt to scan for Windows file issues.

My external Raid setup runs Softraid. When it exits and all drives are ejected, there were no reboot or shutdown problems.
