Hello, I just assembled my PC but can't operate it because I don't have Windows installed. I have a product key, but without a Windows disc. When I tried to download the Windows 8 Setup, I saw the error: "This product key cannot be used to install a retail version of Windows 8.1." Could you help me so I can get my PC working? Thank you.

You probably received it from an original equipment manufacturer.

When it's an OEM key, it appears to be valid for just one use... probably.

It seems you received an OEM key from g2play.net. Would you have preferred a retailer-issued key instead?

Some keys from stores such as G2Play aren't very trustworthy and often aren't genuine. Perhaps you could reach out to Microsoft and explain your situation?
