Hey everyone, I’ll get my PC tomorrow and plan to install Windows 8.1 from a USB drive. If I download the student version online, can I save it to a USB and use it to set up my new computer without an optical drive? Thanks, Wolffangs147

You can obtain a complete Windows 8.1 version by downloading the full ISO from your school’s website and installing it onto a USB drive using the provided setup guide.
