If it's a virus, you might suspect it based on repeated occurrences. I restored it before and now, but someone could help prevent future issues.

Open the command prompt by pressing Win + R, then type services.msc. Check for services named Windows Update and Windows Modules Installer, then stop them. Also, could you view a snapshot of the Task Manager?
