I completed my first rig, but when trying to install Windows 8.1 it freezes on the screenshot taken with your old camera. If it doesn’t freeze there, it freezes immediately after the setup begins. You’ve already tried installing from the USB I made, used a USB DVD drive, and even formatted the HDD where you wanted it, but nothing worked.

Keep it there for hours just in case. I used one machine... (never happened before) but I pressed "Install Windows" on my W7 disc, and it stayed frozen for a long time—over an hour—before functioning properly. ^Only did this on the three times it ever got installed.

Changing RAM speed from 2400 to the default 1333 might not improve performance and could even cause issues.

It's odd... the black screen is happening. Try removing your dedicated GPU, using the built-in video outputs, and attempting to reinstall. Perhaps the dedicated GPU isn't working properly.

Open the UEFI settings and look for the reset option. Check if any hidden settings might be affecting the system.
