Windows 8.1 encountered a crash or error.
Windows 8.1 encountered a crash or error.
It seems the issue isn't resolved by plugging in the graphics card. Sometimes it boots normally but then restarts after a short time, showing error code 62 related to PCH runtime services. I checked online and found it could be linked to RAM or GPU problems, though that doesn’t explain the earlier stability. I also noticed a Windows 8.1 warning about the system not loading properly. After reinstalling Windows 8.1 and doing a clean install, the Start-up Repair failed. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed.
" Start-up Repair couldn't repair your PC" shows up when your computer didn't start properly the last time. I remember now getting this message when I had these boot loops. So just to be sure: You are sure that you boot into the correct windows? Or did you delete the old one? If it really is the fresh installed windows then I don't know what else it could be besides the hardware.
I’m confident I performed a clean installation. The steps I took were: Settings → Change PC settings → Update And Recovery → Recovery → Remove everything and reinstall Windows → Only wipe the Windows drive (SSD) where you installed Windows 8.1. I believe this was my second graphics card since it’s not displaying any of the five LEDs properly and only shows two of them. I’ll share a photo if you’re familiar with it. http://gyazo.com/4c4f9b7825b9cd9c951d8ae702547560
The display doesn't appear properly for the card. It might also be related to a power supply issue, possibly due to insufficient connection.
I took out the card and then reattached it. It’s now working on Windows 8.1 after a fresh install—thank you so much for your assistance!
