The process moves to the next step, then displays a black screen. After restarting, it returns to the recovery screen.

Your PC has definitely taken a hit. Without being able to check it directly, I can only suggest trying to boot into safe mode by searching for "Windows 8 safe mode" online. Use Task Manager to see which programs are consuming your RAM. If you suspect a virus, back up your data and reinstall Windows if needed. Watching some installation tutorials on YouTube might help you with partitions, but be careful. Learning from this experience will definitely be valuable.

You're already in safe mode. To proceed, simply exit it by pressing the designated escape key or following your device's specific instructions.

You're connected to Wi-Fi but can't access the internet. Your task manager isn't launching even after you click it, and it shows "Microsoft Windows: The application is not responding." Would you like to terminate this process?

Interesting... this shouldn't occur normally. I'm trying to set up antivirus and perform a scan, but I'm not sure what's going wrong.

I'll observe the outcome and let you know if anything unexpected arises.

You're seeing minimal memory usage in Task Manager—only 8% RAM. The top processes are Windows Explorer, Antimalware Service Executable, and the Desktop Window Manager. You have 8GB of RAM available.
