Windows 8.1 consumes full disk space
Windows 8.1’s built-in security performs strong initial scans and continues to monitor new data effectively. The issue seems linked to temporary files or folders, which many applications generate during operation. This problem often appears with older video capture and streaming tools since they tend to retain data in temp locations unless explicitly cleared or after a significant period.
Windows Defender has stopped working after I installed Windows 8.1, and removing Norton didn’t fully resolve the issue. I’m still experiencing problems occasionally.
