After a frustrating and annoying experience trying to get Windows 10 to work with DCS, I gave up and reinstalled Windows 8.1. Now I'm downloading the first set of around 12 update batches, but it's aggressively trying to install Windows 10. I've disabled the updates, but they keep attempting to download. What should I do to stop this process? I don't want this operating system on my PC until it stops behaving badly.

Open the Reserve Windows 8 shortcut, would you like to void your booking?

Windows 10 is smart. It’s downloading but won’t install until it’s fully prepared.

It's strange that Windows 10 is acting this way. I just installed it this afternoon and haven't encountered any issues. You might want to try reinstalling it? It could have been a temporary glitch. Regarding stopping the download, I'm not sure how to handle that, sorry about that!

No, it's not happening via GWX. The system is attempting to extract setup files directly from the Windows update process, which is prohibited.

There isn't a button to disable it. I searched thoroughly but didn't find one. If you're having trouble, let me know. It might be defeated by some other method.

Sure, I noticed the Windows Folder for BT is still visible even though it wasn't chosen.
