Hello, I recently started updating my Windows 8.1 machine. I used the update manager in the Windows Control Panel to download 700MB of updates. It then prompted me to restart, so I assumed nothing would happen and everything would work properly. When I tried to boot, I encountered various fatal error messages with attached files. I attempted booting in safe mode and kept progressing through the automatic repair wizard. I also tried performing an A-SYSTEM REFRESH using the original Windows 8.1 installation disc. Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and I even unplugged and plugged in the SSD. I’d like to retain all system files. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Thank you in advance!

You enter the command but it skips the SSD and starts scanning the HDD immediately.
