Click the taskbar with the right mouse button, select Properties, and under the Navigation section, check the option "When I sign in or close all applications on a screen, go to the Desktop instead of Start."

I needed to perform an update and recovery, verified the updates, then accessed the details, and it’s now downloading.

You can activate the "new" start menu by going to Settings > Time & Language, then selecting Start Menu options.
