Recently I began playing games with mods, but the issue is that one I installed is on my "C" drive, which is my boot drive and protected by admin rights. My dad allowed me to install the mod if I wanted to experiment, and I found a way around it. I used 7zip to store the mod files for the game, which lets you place them without entering an admin password. However, the files aren’t visible in the regular Windows file explorer. Using 7zio makes it clear they’re present and everything functions properly. Anyone else encountered this problem? Note: for the mods to work on SW:EAW, they must be in the same directory as the base game.

It seems there might be some confusion about the permissions and access levels. The instructions suggest navigating to C:\Program Files, which is restricted for administrators only. Any subfolders there would inherit those restrictions. If you need write access to a specific folder, you'd typically adjust the security settings directly in the folder's properties under the Security tab. The process involves changing group or user permissions, adding your username, and ensuring you have the necessary rights. Regarding 7zip, it might not be functioning as expected, possibly running with standard privileges and thus appearing limited in Explorer.
