I'm preparing to switch to Windows 8 and I'm a bit confused about the installation options. Does it prompt to keep personal files, or should I consider a fresh install? Thanks!

If you can't spare those files, don't hesitate to clear out for a new storage space—your choice is yours.

I switched from Windows 7 to 8 via the upgrade process without issues. Just needed to reinstall some programs before everything worked smoothly.

Considering your setup with an SSD boot drive and F4 drive, you likely won’t need to reinstall unless there are specific issues. You can simply copy the data back from your backup.
