I manage to sign in without issues, but once it reaches the right place the modern interface appears as a black screen on my laptop and a grey display on my second monitor. Pressing the Windows button does nothing, though I can use the Alt+Del shortcut to launch Task Manager. I’m able to access the file system, which lets me back up data or erase it if needed.

Hello, ensure your display resolution meets a minimum of 1024x768. Activate User Account Control. On the Start screen, type UAC and choose Settings from the right. Go to Change User Account Control settings and confirm. · Which anti-virus software are you employing? · If Avast is installed, verify for updates as it recently fixed app opening problems. · Attempt to turn off your anti-virus temporarily and test opening an application. · If disabling it helps briefly, reinstall the antivirus. Another option is to start your computer in Clean Boot mode to identify any third-party interference. From the desktop, press Windows key + R, type msconfig and press Enter. In the Services section, enable Hide all Microsoft services, then Disable all. Under Startup, open Task Manager, right-click each startup entry and disable them, then close the window. Click Apply/OK in System Configuration and restart. After testing, return your system to its standard boot state. If none of these steps resolved the issue, consider refreshing your PC.
