Hey everyone. I've been having some issues setting up my new computer I built yesterday for Windows 7. I started by partitioning the SSD and installing the OS, everything went smoothly until the final reboot step. When I tried to boot from the SSD after restarting, it kept rebooting back to the installation screen instead of loading properly. I changed the boot priority in BIOS after the restart, but that didn't fix the problem. I also switched monitors, and some users reported success on other forums.
I received an error saying "Disk reading error press ALT + CTRL + DEL to restart," followed by a black screen right after the BIOS prompt. The Windows login screen didn’t appear, and after about six minutes it just showed a blank screen. I’ve tried everything—changing BIOS settings, using IDE/RAID mode, and even setting the board in different configurations. My motherboard is an MSI Z97 GAMING 5, and it’s a $2000 build, so hardware issues seem likely.
