Windows 7 USB 3 support drivers resolved successfully.
Hello, I’m really struggling here. I’ve been attempting to log into my Windows account, but it keeps showing an incorrect password error. I’ve used tools like ONTP&RE which freeze during startup, and Ophcrack that doesn’t load properly. I attempted to reset the password using a Lifewire trick with a Windows installation DVD, but the keyboard and mouse aren’t responding, and I can’t get past the language selection. My keyboard is a Corsair K55 and my mouse is a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum, both installed on the USB2 ports of my motherboard (ASUS Prime Z270-K). I searched online for solutions, but none worked. I tried inserting USB 3 drivers into the installation disk, using DISM GIU, running CMD, and even using Gigabyte’s disk-to-USB tool with auto-detection. I’ve also tried different Windows ISO files, but nothing helped. I’m worried about losing my data and don’t want to format anything. Could you please share a Windows 7 64-bit ISO with the drivers included? I’ve been searching for it without success. Or if you know how to fix this, or get ONTP&RE working again, I’d really appreciate it. Also, turning on PS2 emulation didn’t help at all. Apologies for the poor English and lengthy message.
Consider using a Windows 10 ISO for compatibility. The PE setup only requires booting to allow you to replace the executable and reset your password via NET USER, eliminating the need to align the ISO with the installed Windows version. Keep in mind that NET USER cannot modify domain or Windows Live account passwords, only local ones.
