The laptop needs Windows 7 with 1 GHz or faster, 32-bit or 64-bit processor, at least 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit), 16 GB free hard disk space (32-bit), and a DirectX 9 graphics card with WDDM 1.0 or newer driver. You asked about Windows 8 and wondered if you removed the partition.

Performed a clean installation, removing all data from the hard drive and ensuring the Vista backup section was removed.

Do you have a 32-bit or 64-bit system? If it's 64-bit, consider installing the 32-bit version instead.

Review the system settings and verify the SATA configuration. If issues persist, create two partitions and split them. Install Windows in the second partition to check for damaged sectors on the first one.

A small percent chance might be that the hard drive is failing.....trying using a hard drive from another laptop Might be a bios issue A friend of mine had a similar issue in a sony vaio...i will ask him

it could be just one broken sector. Before proceeding, reset the BIOS to factory settings and reinstall Windows. If that doesn’t work, the hard drive might have a damaged sector preventing installation. Try splitting the drive into two partitions and installing Windows in the second one to check for issues on the first.
